Hey ya'll! My hair is naturally dark brown, now it's a lighter brown with blonde highlights. Well, being in the sun and riding around with the top down has made my blonde streaks extra blonde. I want to go darker for fall/winter. I was wondering if I could just put a gloss over the highlight and that'd take care of it. Or do I need to color my hair, or do I need to get lowlight. I have roots, not even an inch long - but that's too long for me! Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
hi, i had naturally beautiful dark brown hair, then i put highlights in it i wish i could go back. but anyways, dont color your hair, it makes it worse!! it makes it really brassy, and u never get your natural color back by dying it. i wish someone would have told me this! but i suggest getting a toner in wallnut! its semi-perminant, so it wont damage your hair or look too brassy. hope this helped! advice
Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to respond. I talked to my stylist about it & she said we'd have to dye it to totally cover my highlights. The way she talked toner would'nt cover them, just darken. I'm not trying to go back to my natural color, have'nt been that in years! But I would like to get back in the dark brown family. So she's going to put on a chestnut hue towmarrow. Hopefully it will turn out the way I want! Thanks again!
no problem for replying im always happy to help, especially if ive already gone through it. i dont want n e one to regret wut they do to their hair cuz it takes a while (not to mention $$) to correct certain problems. i hope everything goes great for you!
Just in case you were wondering, the chestnut hue turned out beautifully! Very approperiate for winter. It's a little darker than I expected, a lot of people think it's black, but still very beautiful!
