Hi SusanW. I just assumed you were trained as a stylist. You're very knowledgeable. Maybe you should consider a career change?
My user name is WAY too long. Just call me Juliana. :-)

Thanks for the compliment! No, I'm not a stylist. I had a couple of friends in the past that taught me what they knew about coloring that they learned in cosmetology school. Then, I spent about 10 years coloring my own hair myself, all different shades. Had many disasters and learned a lot about how to fix them. Some of my friends started coming to me when their stylist screwed up their hair color, so I'd help them fix it, and they were always happy with the results.

Those are my only credentials...that's why I usually tell the person they're better off going to a salon instead of listening to me, but if they're going to do it themselves anyway, I figure it's better they have some knowledge of what might happen before they do.

Are you a stylist? If so, you should go to www.behindthechair.com for advice on how to fix a color disaster. It's a forum designed for professionals to exchange ideas and advice.

Not that Susan W.'s advice wasn't good...in fact, I'm tempted to ask if she's a stylist as well, she always seems to have very knowledgeable advice.

If the hair is already a light yellow, you have to be a little careful with green bases. They are made to counteract the orange that comes out in hair, but once the hair is lightened past that orange stage and into yellow, you don't want to put green or blue bases on it because they wind up showing. If the hair is yellow and they want to go darker with more natural tones, I'd go with a violet base to counteract the yellow.

Now that it's already green, I'd go with something with an orange base to counteract it. Her hair may wind up a little more red than she wanted, depending on how much green is there for it to counteract and make brown. You have to warn her of that, but other than using a red pigment shampoo every day I don't know any other way to counteract it. Maybe someone else does.

Hi,
I used logics level 6N with 20 vol. I let that process for 30 minutes in her hair.
Her color was a level 8 golden blonde and wanted to go more natural for the fall look.

After I styled it it had a greenish cast instead of a warm golden level 6. How would i give it more warmth. What can I use to conteract that casting to level it out?

Thanks a bunch
