Hi, is there a way to darken up some highlights just a tad? Can I use a darker color depositing shampoo/conditioner to do the trick, or do I need some sort of chemical? The highlights have already had a toner on them and are still a touch too light.

I would try the color depositing shampoo first. It may work for you, and it won't harm your hair. Anything else you do to change it will have to a be a chemical process and that will harm your hair.
