QuoteReplyTopic: Brown Touch-up for Men Posted: December 27 2004 at 3:15pm
I have been using Grecian Formula for touching up the gray hair around my ears. I don't want to eliminate the gray all together but just tone it down a bit.
The problem is my natural hair color is dark brown and when I apply the Grecian to the areas where the gray is coming in it turns the surrounding (brown) hairs black.
Do they make a similar product for people with brown hair which would allow me to blend the gray areas without darkening my natural hair color?
Thanks!

Grecian Formula is nasty stuff. It's intended for men who want to be able to deny that they dye their hair. It'll ruin your hair entirely.
What you should do is buy a box of permanent hair color (yes, the ladies' kind) in your own natural shade, mix up a small amount in a glass dish, and apply that to your gray with a toothbrush or tint brush. It'll leave your hair in much better condition in the long run.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
