everytime i dye my hair darker...like im trying to get a darker brown...it always fades a ton and looks kinda of orangish when it fades. I don't know if it really is orange or if im just seeing it becasue i see my hair diffferently than other people do. This has happened 2 times. Does anyone know how i can just dye it darker and not have the orange come in a few weeks later? thanks for your help

How many times have you dyed your hair with permanent color? I'm guessing that you color your whole head of hair when you do, rather than touching up only the roots. Doing this you have overbleached your hair to the point where it is so porous that it won't hold color. I believe that you need to repigment your hair with a color-depositing shampoo. (Correct me if I'm wrong, guys.) Another thing you might try is to put semipermanent color on your hair as it fades.
Once hair has been lightened, it is unpredictable what will happen with a new product. You should do a strand test first.
In any case, it's probably a good idea to plan on growing out the damaged section eventually.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

When you first went dark was is on bleached hair or was it virgin hair? If you tint your entire head everytime you color, it puts color on top of color and it will lead to damage.
If you need to refresh the color from slight fade a deposit only color in the same shade will work.
If your color is fading bc it was put on bleached hair- aka a tint back- those fade, unless you keep refreshing the color, your hair will go back the way it was before.
There is a difference between hair tints and bleach.
