hair extensions

i ended up taking them out on my own, because they were sliding...it was an adhesive applied with glue...does anyone know of an alternative or have experience with any kind that are natural looking and don't come out like crap...i looked like i had a thick mass of hair (((halloween wig))))....i live in the atlanta area and really need assistance with this....i have already wasted mass amounts of money and am ready to just bag it but am willing to try one more time....please do not try to just sell a product...i really need a reputable source...i am miserable with the hair i have now, which is virtually nothing and need a fix....plus it was dyed because i was getting these things(((darker)))).... thanks
