The Tool

This is great info.! I am curious about the tool. What kind of heating tool do you use for the shrinkies? I see the heat clamp tool (http://drlocks.net/shrinkies.htm), but not much info. about the variable settings. How long do you hold the shrinkie in the heat clamp on what setting to bond it to your own hair? (5 second, 35 seconds). I can't wait to get started, I am doing it to my friend first, she's volunteered to be the guinny.
