Is the monofiber hair on Platstikhaar good? I was just wondering because it is so inexpensive.

And I am new to synthetic extensions, I want to make sure I am doing it right. Could someone please explain how to do the heat sealed method? How do you make it so when you wrap the synthetic around, so that it's not too thick.

THANKS!

Hi Terra, I think we're all trying to figure out the quality of Plastikhaar, Dome, and Prostyles. We'll have some samples soon; the posters on Quinnster's geenrally have more synth experience, so you may want to post there:

In the meantime, check out these threads to hear what others have said:

You can also email Sara for samples at: sara@plastikhaar.ch

As far as heat-sealing, I've never done it, but there's a good explanation here, under Loose:

It sounds complex to me (and potentially disasterous if you don't know what you're doing), so I really haven't considered this option at all. I'm really interested in synth, but would probably use it with Shrinks, pinchbraids, or extendtubes instead. The heat-sealing method requires multiple people and the ability to box-braid, but if you can do it, it might be great.

Good luck!
