Yes Jenny_RR, there's a few new things on there, even a few new before and after photos
Here's the picture you wanted Amm:
She only wanted half of the bundle of hair put in so it looks a little thin but that's how she wanted it
I talked to the girl in the picture a few days ago and she said the curl pretty much fell out so I don't think it would be something you're looking for...
Kristin, just visited your site and LOVE the photos. I had the same situation occur involving the bleach issue that damaged my hair to the point of breaking. So hearing your story really helps me stay positive. My hair in the back wasn't damaged as much so it's still a decent length, but my hair on top and especially in front is very damaged and shortened from breaking. I'm hoping that while wearing extensions, my hair will grow out. I'm just experimenting and trying to find the best method of loose.
I looked at the inspirational pictures (I love Nicole and Paris)! Something I've always wondered about is what kind (method) of extensions they have. I did a search on the internet but couldn't find anything. Someone was telling me that there was a special on tv (vh1 maybe) a while back that documented everything celebrities do for their physical image, and there was a small part on hair extensions. From what I was told, there was a lady who was doing extensions for some of the celebrities. I'm very curious about this. Did anyone actually see this show?
I think Paris and Nicole have (or at least have had at one time) Great Lengths. You can see photos of them here: veredsalon.com
I've had GLs too, and frankly I think they're way overpriced. The hair's quite nice, but the total cost (at least in my case) came to $2400 each time. They weren't THAT nice, believe me! Plus, I had a lot of damage, but that may have had a lot to do with my stylist. I personally think Paris has had a lot of damage too, which is why her hair's always supershort without the extensions and she's wearing wigs a lot these days.
Frankly, I think Kristin's photos look every bit as good, if not better, than the GLs installs I've seen--and she does them for like a fifth of the price, and offers several methods. It's a no-brainer, really. I wish I'd known before I paid $2400 for my GLs; I could've bought a round-trip ticket to LA, taken a vacation, and paid much less..... Grrrr......
A while back there was a post on this board linked to photos of Paris Hilton all done up for a party, with her hair in a ponytail. You could see her extensions through her fine hair, it looked awful. It looked like some kind of links. So I wouldn't be too sure I wanted extensions like hers.
I tried to look it up, but the pictures are no longer online.
Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?
I saw those Paris pictures too. It actually kind of looked like she had pinch braids. I think I saved the pictures somewhere.... hmm I'll see if I still have them somewhere...
Sometimes I think Paris' hair looks too thin. Sometimes it looks great and full but alot of times I think there isnt enough fullness compared to her length.
I have to agree with Sherrie; Paris's hair looks good sometimes and terrible other times. In defense of her stylist, though, I think her hair is a real challenge. It's so fine, thin, and short--not to mention incredibly blonde and transparent--that it would be very hard for anyone to conceal extensions well on her, imo--for a photo shoot perhaps, but not for daily wear. (I have some similar issues--minus the millions--so I can relate--LOL.)
A lot of times, it looks like all the length is in the back on Paris without any volume, but I can't imagine putting them in front and on top would be a great solution either. It looks like Nicole Richie has more natural volume and thickness to her hair and consequently gets better results.
Perhaps Paris should try shrinkies, huh? I think she'd be a good candidate for the method. Next time she stops by here, we'll have to let the girl know....:)
What a fantastic job you have done with your website and I just love it!!! BTW I think you look cute without your extensions too - very nice haircut; but like I have said before you do very professional work with hair extensions and I have to give you tons of credit and patience to put all of those little links in. Not for me.
I am currently interested in setting up an online shop for DIY'ers but I need to get the proper licenses and permits to do so. It is very possible that I'll have something set up in the future and I'm sure you'll see it posted when and if it happens.
The only things that I have sold as of now are some of my funky colored streaks because they have to be bought in bulk and who really wants 1/4 pound of red hair?!? (not to mention that they are expensive too). There have been quite a few people that have just wanted to buy a few so I sold some of mine as a way of going in on the cost with others. If you're interested please let me know
I am interested. Of all the of websites selling extensions that I have seen, they only show one picture of the product and it is hard to distinguish the quality. Your website has a lot of photos and in every single one of them, the hair looks like very good quality. have you considered selling on ebay while you obtain your permits? You could create an ebay store. And then when you start selling on your website you could use your ebay store as a vessel to promote your website and also get you more clients for putting in the extensions for them.
Yes, I have thought about the ebay thing but I first need to be able to buy at wholesale prices. I actually have already been in contact with a couple companies that are going to send me more information on selling their products as soon as I get my licenses. One of the companies I'm most excited about is one that sells Bohyme hair (yay!) Gosh, I love that hair so much, I'm super excited!
Extensions are so overpriced in salons these days that I'd love my site to become a resourse for DIY'ers with a chat room and everything....
