I was starting to add hair with shrinkies, and I keep fighting with either the string or the rug hook for my hair - mainly because of my hand, I have a hard time grabbing, pulling....so I was pinning my hair up with a bobby pin and the light went off!
use the bobby pin instead of a hook or string. Just slide your hair onto the pin, then thread the shrinkie and pull through - just enogh room for a good size hunk of hair and tip! It would not work with rings, unless you have a really small bobby pin.
off to finish my hair!!

I get it in walmart but I think a lot of drug stores can have them too. Or you can buy it through internet.

Your local grocery store or a walmart should have them in the tooth brush aisle.

please don't ask how this came to me...but actually i think the little wire twist ties that come in the box of garbage bags work well if you peel off some of the paper surrounding the wire so that it's really thin and slips through doubled over...

HI, just thought you might like a better option for threding shrinkies or rings. Hair center-short to long has a tool with a wire loop. I buy my own wire though at craft store it screws in to the tool . you can make it about ten inches at the most, other wise it's to hard to handle any longer than that. It will hold many links or shrink's I have about 6 of them I put all the links on a head of time. I know that this tool has some other use "crafts" so I'm sure you can find them else where if you look hard! Short to long will let you order If you fax a copy that you have had traning from any strand by strand company. The number is 941 9221004
