Figures JA finally gets a look I like, and she hates it! It looked great at the shortest length (the first few episodes of Friends where she had it shorter). Oh well!
Maybe Brad Pitt talked her into it. Maybe he has a thing about long to short makeovers. Remember the news when Gwyneth Paltrow cut her hair - Brad (who was dating Gwyneth at the time) supposedly sat with her and held her hand throughout the whole haircut, which I remember reading lasted 45 minutes. Date Brad; cut your hair. Marry Brad; cut your hair. Coincidence? Go, Jennifer, good luck growing it out again!

Hal -- my reply was not an exercise in "psycho babble," but was in response to this statement of yours, wherein you correlate shorter styles with having confidence:
--> "I guess that`s why I`ve always been attracted to woman w/ shorter styles... I love their confidence!!!!"
And Lina, I have wondered the same thing. I don`t know that she`s offered an explanation (none expected!) for it but I`ve wondered aloud (in this forum) if it was to eliminate damage to her own hair caused by the extensions she wore, but that`s pure speculation on my part.
Psyco babble???? What I said was, She said (not what I THINK she MAY have been saying) "I have low self esteem and I liked hidding behind my my long hair".
And the only reason I posted it was to give Gord a reason to live..lol

Hmm.... such generalizations aren`t necessarily true.
I agree that confidence is an attractive characteristic, and I know and have known many women of ALL hair lengths -- short, medium, and long -- with loads of self-confidence.
This sounds like the Jennifer Aniston scenario part deux... I seem to recall her being quoted shortly after she first cut her hair short (6 years ago) as saying (something to the effect of) she couldn`t wait to grow her hair long again.
Maybe what she`s saying is that she would feel more self-confident if she had the hair that she wants. Such an attitude might apply to a hypothetical woman who has long hair and is bashful about the attention it gets, but wants short hair because she has low self-esteem and wants to hide behind the anonymity of short hair. Would you similarly condemn this hypothetical woman for using this desire for short hair as a crutch to enable a sense of self-confidence?
J A said on ET the other night that hates her new hair cut and is taking every vitamin that she can find to make her hair grow faster. She says she has a very low self esteem and liked hiding behind her long hair.
I guess that`s why I`ve always been attracted to woman w/ shorter styles... I love their confidence!!!!
