When I was 16 I had waist length hair. I was helping my mom make chocolate chip cookies. I was using the mixer and not paying too much attention to what I was doing. I turned to make a comment to my mom and a rather large section of hair made it's way into the mixing bowl and quickly became tangled up in the mixer. It wound quickly and nearly tore a chunk out of my head. Fortunately the mixer blew a fuse.We spent the rest of the evening trying to unclog my hair.Mom did a pretty good job working the hair out of the mixer and dough, but in the end I had to cut a fairly thick piece of hair off at about my chin. I cried a bit and then evened off the other side. I claimed a school that I was going for the 'Penolopy' look (I've spelled it wrong) She was a model at the time. Eventually my mom's stylist talked me into a Dorthy Hammel wedge cut that looked great on me so all ended well.
