Hi Treasa,

If you are in any doubt about cutting your hair, then I say not to do it. Your hair sounds quite lovely to me and I am sure you look great.

Best wishes,

John

Treasa,
I have a very similar problem. My hair is also very curly and I hate it too. A couple of years ago I did cut it, and REGRETTED it. My hair is now half way down my back. Although I hate it it is much easier to handle longer. I am known for my wild hair, I wouldn`t be the same person without it. I would suggest for you NOT to cut it.

Hi Joanne,

I am sorry to hear that you had to go through the trauma of cutting your hair and then regretting it afterwards. I am glad to hear that you have grown your hair again, and am sure you and your "wild" hair are quite an attractive sight. Best of luck for the future and hope you keep your hair long.

John

NO!!!! Do Not Cut Curly Hair short, especially if it is thick!!! Believe me, I`m speaking from experience!! Unless you want to end up with an afro, you shouldn`t do it! You should let it grow out long (that`s what i`m doing) and it`ll look great!

I have very thin naturally curly hair.
I got mine cut somewhat short last week.
I had the stylist layer my hair, with it short on the top and sholder length on the bottom.
I really like my cut, maybe ask a stylist if it would look good layered. Good luck.

I have thick, red, curly hair, have had it short and long. It`s long now. My hairdresser tells me it looks like Don King when i have it short -- and he won`t let me go short again. The short styles I like would work for someone with less hair than me. I`ve been both places, like long best for ME.

A friend has similar hair to mine, but not so thick, hers looks great with the shorty cut she has now.

It always grows back...
