I got a perm 4 months ago and its still very curly. when i want it straight i iron it with a hot iron. but it is still the same curliness when i take a shower then scrunch it.
I hope this helps.

no matter what, i would NOT use hair straightener thingies!

i did, and, yer, they work, you can achieve perfect style
but boy, it drys your hair completely!
instead, i would, if you wanted it straight occasionally, i would use a relaxing/wind down balm cream thingy and blow dry it straight, looks alot better too!

good luck anywayz

I use a good gel (I like Be Straight or Bed Head), a good round brush and a clip. Blow dry in small sections on high heat (but only if your hair is healthy now). Don`t forget the leave-in conditioner! That`s what I do and my hair always looks great!
Straightening irons are okay, but if you`re hair is like mine, there are those sections that just dont` want to lose their wave and it looks bad. Hope that helps!
