I recently had my layered very straight hair permed and though I love the curls ow do i keep them looking more bouncy and " alive" as opposed to crunchy and stuck together. Should I just air dry it so it doesn't get to frizzy and dried out? I just need some tips on keeping it looking "natural" as opposed to " big perm head"

Thanks
Susannah

Hi! Try a spray gel or acidifier to keep the curls defined & smoother. My favorite is Dream Curls by John Frieda...a little pricey, but well worth it. Also, when you're drying it, I think the best thing to do is let it air dry until its just damp, then scrunch upside-down, gently, with a towel. Before it gets totally dry, spray in the gel & scrunch again with your fingers. Be careful not to put too much gel in or to put it in when its still really wet, or else it might look kinda greasy. A finishing spray or polishing gel might help, too. I like Citre Shine Shine Gloss spray- the stuff's a miracle. I know John Frieda makes at least one, too, but I've never used it.
Hope this helps! I've never had a perm (mine's naturally curly), but I think this'll work for ya...

Love,
Inga

PS- avoid using a blowdryer as much as possible...it will dry your hair out and leave it frizzy.
Good luck!!!

Another produc that I've used is called Springing Curls by Loreal. I really like it.

I Love Curly Sexy Curl enhancer by Sexy Hair concepts.

One thing to remember, after you apply a product to your curls DO TOUCH YOUR CURLS.
If you handle them too much they will become frizzy.
