Hi,can someone tell what a "root perm " is? anyone have any examples/pictures of it? thanks.

A root perm is used at the root area of the hair only. It is often used to perm new growth on the hair that has been previously permed or to add extra lift at the root area. The hair ends are protected with products to prevent the waving lotion from penetrating them.

It is usually done with large rods to produce lift with very little curl.
