QuoteReplyTopic: what is the best hair STRAIGHTENER? Posted: April 14 2004 at 4:00pm
Hi, I have seen many kinds of hair straighteners (internet, stores) such as : Solid jade-plated, sapphire/blue-plated, gold-plated, teflon/metal and ceramic.
I currently own a ceramic-COATED hair straightener and it works alright (my hair is srtaight)but it turns out poufy (i have curly and very thick hair) . (is SOLID ceramic plates better??)
I was wondering what is the very best type of hair straightener for my kind of hair...?
I need help!! thanks -----DOMINIQUE from Alberta, Canada

ok my friend used bone straight u can buy it at any drug store or hair store. From what i know its temporary you just put it on your hair and then blow dry it and its straight and to get it curlly again u wash it out or u can try frizz ease they have a straightner too
I love my Hai convertable hair straightener, its like the Chi or Englands GHD, with diff. heat settings and ceramic plates, and 9ft swivel cord. Plus cheaper, but not cheap by any means.
All my girlfriends are jealous of me for having it, but I have thick poofy hair, not curly and its great at making it sleek.
I bought my sis one for Xmas for her curly thick hair, and she loves it.
By the way, if ur hair is curly my best friend has ringlet curly hair and she loved it too.
oh sorry since you're a fellow Canadian (hi ya), i suggest you look for it off of ebay...its wayyyy cheaper then the other us online retailers, should be like $60US and there is, sadly, no Canadian retailer from what I know. AND, I'm a researching fanatic.
