This question is to anybody who can help Me. I am a male ang I`ve been growing my hair out so that i can get braids. I recently had my braids done, but my question is what do I have to do to change the texture of my hair? Right now if I take out my braids I will have an afro, I notice that other guys take out there braids, and can put there hair back in ponytails and things like that. What do I have to do to my hair to get it like that?????????????????
Email or post a reply. Thanx

ok. i dont know if you have taken them out before or not but most of the time you shouldnt get an "instant" fro some of my friends who have braids get a like "super wavy sticking up type thing" with all the parts.. and they had an fro before their braids but what you could do is get someone (else, for painless best results) get someone to hot comb/press it for you....it will come out straight... but whatever you do please avoid sweating alot and rain afterwards. it will still be straight but it would be kinda rough and nappy looking. or you could get a perm or relaxer to straightten it go with the perm. but still avoid rain and sweat. and either one of these will ususally lead to pony tail ready hair. but DO NOT Dye you hair with permanent dye if you perm or relax. if you have any more questions feel free to ask...
hope i was helpful

Apply a little oil to your hair and blow it straight with a blowdryer with a comb attachment.
