My stylist told me today that I need an ogeny ( not sure how its spelled) treatment because my hair was shedding too much. Plus, I have alot of short hairs at the top of my head.
What I don`t get is that I thought I was doing all the right things because 1) I don`t use curling irons 2) I get deep conditions 3) I use rollers for bounce 4) I wrap my hair every night and wear a satin cap
But, theres a chance my hair can break off due to the over shedding! My stylist says I need it for 3 weeks straight before a perm and its $30 each wk including the style.
Anybody ever heard of this?

Sorry never hear of Ogeny. If this is a process that your stylist wishes you to may $30 a pop for I`d suggest you go back to her and have her to explain in detail what this process is what it does, and what chemicals are being used and what is the guaranteed out come. Just what are you getting for $90 other that a name you can not pronounce and a smile?
I am not an expert my no means, but it sounds like your hair has been overprocessed and damaged. It sounds like you take very good care of your hair.
If it were me I would find a very good stylist that is into precision cuts. I`d have him or her give me a cute, sassy, sexy hair cut. Go head shed a few tears and hopefully it will grow back.
