Tocopherol is the chemical name for Vitamin E, quite good for hair, and propylparaben is a preservative in a lot of products, mainly improves shelf life. I wouldn`t be concerned about either one

Jojoba oi, safflower oil, tocopherol and olive oil works well on my hair. Mineral oil, however, is the reason that so many Black Hair products never work penetrates my hair. I think that my hair is too porous and mineral oil as a substance is too big to enter the hair shaft. But mineral oil is good on skin, though.
