Not so conventonal braids

Hello all! I recently had microbraids put in my hair, extended down to the middle of my back. I fell in Love!! Now, I have to get them redone but I was thinking of getting the extensions a totally different color that my natural brown color. Light Blonde!! I have bleached my hair blonde in the past but always ran into troulble and hair loss due to overprocessing. I figured braiding blonde hair in would save my hair and I could still go for the unconventional black girl with blonde hair look. since my brown hair is short I think it`ll look cool with brown roots and blonde braids. What d`ya think? Any other suggestions? Let me know please:)
