Well I had braids once and my mom would tie them in a bun (depending on how long they were) and would put a stocking cap over my head. Next i would rinse under cool water and put a dime sized amount of shampoo on the stocking cap and massage it gently though. I would rinse again until no more suds showed up and when i was done my braids hadnt loosened or frizzed a bit. It actually looked better wet. Dont just shampoo directly under the water as you do with regular hair. You`ll loosen the knots if you have extentions if you do it that way.
When i had my braids i would dilute shampoo and dump it on my head and very gently massage, then rinsed thoughouly then spritzed. Or you can even try africa`s pride braid care line!
