umm you know you didn`t have to make 2 different subjects for about the same thing, that is very adnormal.

I agree coll coll.  I've also noticed faster growth with braids during the summer time then the winter.  Weaves as well.

I think it's pretty much because you are brushing and using styling products everyday.  And you can really see your new growth in braids.  I constantly oil my hair when I have braids or weaves.

Greetings,

I used to get sew-ins and my hair had alot of breakage and the braids were never too tight.  So now I get tree braids and it is alot better for me.  But I hate the shedding with tree braids cause I do not allow them to put any type of glue on my hair or the weave.

I used to have braids. I'd leave them in for 3 months, and when I took them out I always saw a major difference in the length of my hair. It grew ALOT, because I wasn't tugging on it and pulling it out.

The poster wasn't referring to her question but that she made two posts about the same thing.

Getting your hair braided doesn't make it grow faster at all. It actually yields growth because as hair tries to grow it's block by the braids. It's the thing as if you were to sleep on the same side of you bed and that side is shorter than the other. Also hair has a dif growth rate for dif ppl. So the best advice is taking a good multi vitamin bc hair is protein and drink lots of water. but if you want to look good braid your hair all you want.
