QuoteReplyTopic: HAIR GROWTH FAST!!! Posted: August 07 2002 at 11:46am
I am about to visit my in laws in Sept who haven`t seen me in a long time. I have used wild growth(which doesn`t wk-it just smelled & broke off my hair & itched my scalp); I`ve used doo gro which caused my hair to stop growing and the conditioner made it hard; now my hair is breaking off bad. Is there anything proven that will make it grow. I am taking hair vitamins, but I need some results asap, please help! I can`t afford to keep paying for no results and I am tired of reading of people who claim the results work, but it really doesn`t, please help!!!!

I`ve used the wild growth oil and discovered that it just smelled and made my hair itch terribly too. I didn`t see what the hype was about after I got the stuff (in my opinion). I haven`t tried the doo gro, which is supposed to make hair grow, so I can`t relate.
My suggestion is to try these products by Strength of Nature called Profectiv. I`ve rubbed their Mega Growth in my scalp and I have actually seen new growth appear when I do this, even though it is supposed to be put on the hair. Also, their scalp conditioner in the green little jar is really good for dandruff. I also apply their Break-Free creme on my hair after every shampoo. It`s like a conditioner, or at least it feels like one. And it doesn`t have to be washed out. I consider it my leave-on conditioner. I actually see growth the very next day after I rub the Break-Free in my hair and scalp after the shampoo.
Their products were first introduced to me by my hairdresser who tried a Break-Free sample after she washed her hair, and when she went to comb it, she said she saw no hair come out (she has short hair). My hair is thick and past shoulder length, so when I apply Break-Free and comb my hair after washing, I do see some hair in the comb, but of course, it is just old shedded hair, and it is by no means a lot. My hair feels slick and smooth when I apply the Break-Free after a shampoo and it doesn`t interfere with my normal styling. It just makes my hair easier to comb and it helps to detangle those knots after a shampoo.
Please keep in mind that these are my experiences only and that everyone`s hair is different. I, too, have learned that what works for some people`s hair, may very well not work for someone else`s hair. What I described are my experiences only. Investigate for yourself.
Also, I can`t say that these products will make your hair grow longer. They just may help the condition of your hair in its present state, which could allow the hair to grow longer without breaking off because of excessive damage.
Oh, by the way: the products that I described aren`t like grease. They are all in a creme form, some thicker than others, but they are a creme. So, you don`t have to worry about having greasy hair.

I personally use Wild Growth and I believe that it is working form me. Keep in mind that everyone`s hair is different so what works for me might not work for you. However, your hair might have been damaged from heat, styling, or chemicals; therefore no amount of oils or other products is going to fix hair that has already been damaged.
With that said, I will tell you what I have been doing. Some of these techniques I learned from people right here on this forum.
1. I take vitamins. They help your hair to be healthy from the inside. -Ultra Nourishair from GNC -500mg of Silica -2000mg of MSM -2600mg of Evening Primrose Oil -2000mg of Flax Seed Oil -1200mg of biotin -a good multivitamin
2. I am currently trying on month of condition only washes, with Suaves Coconut conditioner, and Loreal`s Nature`s Therapy Mega Moisture conditioner. I am loving the soft feel and moisture in my hair. I do the conditioner only washes every two or three days.
3. Roller set hair. Either air dry or sit under hooded dryer. I put some wild growth in my hair and hask placenta before I roller set it. This helps to lock in moisture, so I don`t have to put any- thing in when I am done.
4. Wrap hair.
5. No curling irons or flat irons.
6. Drink lots of water.
7. Eat nuts and other forms of protein.
8. Get a good amount of sleep.
9. If hair is long enough wear it in protective styles to keep it from drying out, (ie. buns, french rolls, or any style that keeps the ends tucked away).
10. Always sleep with a silk scarf on and a silk pillowcase.
-I do doubt however that your hair will grow more than 3/4 of an inch by september. But these steps will help your hair become healthier and longer over time.
If you want your hair to grow really fast try Biosynthesis. I really does work. It works for my hair, my clients hair, my daughters hair, and everybody that I`ve told about it on the net loves it.
You probably have never heard of it but it`s the bomb. IT`s a simple concept. Gentle deep clensing shampoo, powerful deep conditioner, and a cuticle sealer that will leave your hair well protected when you blow dry or wrap.
It`s way better than Pantene. The provitamin B is the 4th ingredient in the conditioner which means there is alot in it. The conditioner has over 30 ingredients which include many botanical extracts and proteins. Good stuff. Believe me it works.
