I have a 4 year old daughter with extremely tight curls. Doing things with her hair, like braiding, etc. have completely damaged it. Her hair broke off in the front (about 1 inch back) and now I don`t know what to do. I wash it 2 times a week, moisturize daily and use a hot oil moisturizer once a week. She hates to have her hair combed because it hurts so bad and I seem to have a bunch of hair in the comb when I`m finished. I need help!

Hi there you need to get a copy of the Shamboosie Book he has a chapter dedicated to the care of childrens hair. Tell me do you use a detangler or a moisturizing rinse out conditioner after washing her hair? this could make a huge difference.

I do use a leave in conditioner, but I will try a detangler and see if that will make a difference. What do you think about using a no-lye relaxer. One that is made for kids? Would that help? thanks
