Ok first ill just tell ya the details im a black male and my hair is pretty long now its long enough to go into a ponytail but my hair is also thick so sometimes i have to use gel to keep it in a pony tail. When my hair is braided the tails are in between 3 to 5 inches. anway ive permed my hair twice only. Ive been told ive damaged my hair by perming it so my hair might stop growing, but if u could have seen how nappy my hair was when it got past 4 inches with no perm u would have recommended a perm also so i don't trim my hair but i generally get ti braided. I grease the scalp with hair food . Other than that and washing it i never do anything else, is there anything that somone can suggest to make sure it keeps growing at a fast rate. It definately doesn't grow as fast as it does when i shave it and let it grow. any tips?
um... to keep it growning at a fast rate you need to start trimming the ends! soon ! because what happens when you dont ,is that your hair starts growing un even leaving strands of hair all different sizes.then you create another problem! the step 2 problem is- u dont know where to cut the split ends off because your hair is so un even , then you have to cut all the hair off to get rid of all split ends and start all over again. so i advise you to start cutting the ends of your hair every 6 weeks! and plus once you trim the ends your hair always starts growing at a much faster rate! because split ends slow down the growning rate because your hair built up way to much and the ends split.make sure you eat healthy ,dont be fooled by bad products claiming to work for you because not everyone has the same texture of hair, and cut the ends of hair and take vitamins if you want .vitamins help keep air in your body , which is what your scalp needs to grow
ok so i need to start trimming my hair is there a specific amount i need to cut off or do i just need to cut just a little off the tips? id hate to have to trim my hair to were its noticably short.
Another thing ive already noticed uneven growth from my hair, my right side is a half inch to an inch longer than the left side of my head its only slightltly noticable on the sides when they hang down and in the back its not really noticable.
