I went to the hairdresser for a relaxer touch-up. Well she put it on and then it started burning in my hairline by my face so I told her. She took me to the sink and put some water on it but she didn't rinse all of it out. It stopped burning but she made me lay with my head in the sink for like 10 min. So my hairline by my neck started burning from laying against the sink. I told a different lady and she rinsed my hair out. It was burning so bad in the front whenever she sprayed the water on it. I blame the owner/first lady. The second lady was really nice and kept asking me if it was burning when she was styling and stuff. So I got face-framing layers in front and I really liked it except I found a too long piece. After I combed the style out and parted my hair down the middle I noticed one side was longer than the other. And in the back I have those scab things from getting your scalp burned and my hair is stuck together. I've never had so much burns before only like 1 or 2 small ones. And in the front I felt this prickly stuff so I tought it was one of those scab things but I looked in the mirror and didn't see anything wrong with the scalp then i noticed it was hair she must've burned my hair off right there but I have so much so I didn't notice except to feel it. I was already asking my mom to put phytospecific relaxer in my hair. So I'm not going back there. I really did like the second lady though. But I don't think she does relaxers. Has this ever happened to any of you? Any advice? I just feel so bad about my hair. I mean at least I don't have any bald spots or big chunks of hair missing or hair falling out but my scalp feels horrible. I'm probably overreacting but still.

I don't think u over reacted, why would someone put something in yourh air and not rinse it out completely. Seem like your hair got over processed and your scalp is just messed up. I'm sorry this has happened to you. I have never had this happen and I will never do it because I just became natural and so many people that I know that had this situaation are now natural.
When you get perms this is the risk you take, burns, hair shortage and so on. It is up to you if you want to get them but I don't recommend perms. Just Make sure u deep condition your hair and wash it regularly and u have to trim alot more to get that over processed hair out of the way. I won't go back to her either she don't know what she is doing and didn't apologize.
Thanx. I feel like she was ignoring me talking to her other clients when she was working on me. She was working on too many people at once. I'm not going back there. I think I will do it at home until I'm ready to go natural. I have so much hair and I'm very tenderheaded. Maybe I'll cut it short and keep it short. But I've always had pretty long hair except when I was around 6 0r 7 and I got all my hair cut off cuz it hurt too much. I'm curious to see what my hair would look like short but I'm also a little scared of the inbetween before it's long enough to cornrow.
