does anyone know why when i get my hair braided tightly, i develop itchy bumps in the corners of my head (especially the back) - I'm being serious and I hope someone else knows what I am talking about!

Yes, the braids are tight, but they last longer that way :)

You are getting bumps because your hair is too tight. The braids may last longer but maybe you would like to use gel as an alternative. You can develope alopecia (hair lost) from having your hair too tight.
