I've read on many Black Hair sites about every so often doing a conditioning wash, where I guess you would just wet and condition the hair. I've read that this works really well for strengtening the hair and the hair is not stripped as much by the shampoo. Does anyone here do conditioning washes and if so does it work for you? I have seen pictures of some of these girls and they have beautiful hair. Of course, I'm not sure if there is a specific conditioner for this purpose.
i condition wash 5 days a week, and shampoo 2x a week. i love condition washes they make my hair very soft and manageable. i use aussie conditioners such as aussie mega, aussie moist, aussie knot forgotten and aussie 3 minute miracle and 3 min miracle deeep.

In the summer I do it 5 days a week and use shampoo every saturday. My hair feels great! I use suave conditioners, right now. When I run out I might try different things.
That all really depends on you. Sometimes, I deep condition with it and let it sit for 30 minutes with a towel around my head. Usually, I just use it just like shampoo, so its basically a shampoo replacement.
I don't usually do condition washes but I did one a couple of days ago. I just used Aussie conditioners that my mom bought for my niece (I wanted to try them). but I read that 3 minute miracle is very bad and full of cancer causing ingredients.

Thanks for your replies. I use to use Aussie 2 Minute Miracle but I stopped because it wasn't that great on my hair. I think I'll try a conditioning wash this week. I use Mane and Tail usually so I'll try that and see what happens. I get back to you all about it.
