My hair has always been long. I'm thinking about dying my hair blond. I don't know... is it suitable?

Since you didn't include a picture of your skin tone or your hair, I'll say that you need to speak with a hairdresser that can see you face to face. Also, it depends on how 'blonde' you're trying to go. A honey blonde may be less damaging than, say, platinum.
Make every day you have count, before the time comes for you to count every day you have.
