QuoteReplyTopic: Heat Protectants where are you?? Posted: January 26 2005 at 11:20pm
Maybe I live on a different planet, but I for the life of me cannot find any heat protectants. I'm sure I'm not looking hard enough but I can find any. I use curlers once every other week, if that, but I don't have anything to protect my hair from heat. Any ideas or suggestions? Also, my sister has natural, unrelaxed hair...what heat protectant can she use to press her hair?
I use Matrix Sleek.Look Iron Smoother. I've heard that L'oreal Mega Moisture has a good heat protectant and Elasta QP as well. Just look at the hair products and it'll say something about heat on it or on the back.
Type: 3c/4a Natural

I also use Iron Smoother sometimes but I pefer a little pressing oil and a natural protective product by Biostrand called Fine.
Iron Smoother by Matrix can only be purchased in a salon or store that offers salon services. I know that Ulta www.ulta.com and Trade Secret carry it. ww.tradesecret.com/brand.cfm Trade Secret stores are usually in malls from my experience and Ulta's are in shopping strips. Fine can only be purchased online or in a salon as far as I know. biostrand.com
