I dont know if anyone else has this problem, but my hair is relaxed and one side of my hair is thinner than the other and does not grow as fast... So when styling, one side looks HOT, while the other, NOT SO HOT...

I was looking for some ideas to get both sides to even out.. Ive cut it even, one side grows and the other lags behind.. Ive started talking Exotic Allure hair vitamins and they are starting to work slowly, but what the Organic Root Stimulator serum, would that work?

Does anyone else go through this?? How do I make my hair grow... Please help!

Don't know if this will help, but I've always had that same problem & my beautician said it's because that is the side I sleep on.

because of the side you sleep on??? hmmm..dunno about that...actually- The hair on your right side is different from your left..Some people just have it more noticably. Some people have a different hair texture or thickness, different growing pattern, different curl pattern...everything. It could also be from the relaxer--was it applied to the thinned out side first? It may have been left on that side too long while your stylists applied it to the other side resulting in breakage. Another possibility is that the one side of your haircut could be cut a little bit differently then the other side...Many stylists arent very precise on making sure whether or not sides are even, and most of them time their not. Little flaws like that can make a drastic difference in a finished product. Im also assuming that you use heat (flat iron?curling iron?) The heat may be poorly distributed through your hair causing the breakage on the one side and not the other, making it thinner. anyway- hope i helped ya out.

When I had a perm, this same thing happened to me. I just waited on the time between perms, once every 6 months. Also, I did not cut all my hair evenly, I was more about health than the evenness, that will come second. then I trimmed the side that looked like it was shorter, because my ends looked damaged on that side.

You have to find what works.
I had a stylist that told me that crap about sleeping, but its not true, everyones hair would be lop sided and that is not the case.

Okay, I havent relaxed my hair since Dec 16 2004 ... and now one side of my head looks like it needs it more than the other. Im afraid to relax because the shorter sides ends look they are about to keel over and drop off any second now.. But the other side doesnt look like it needs a relaxer.. By the way, Exotic Allure worked for me.. made my hair thicker, still didnt solve the uneven problem tho.. Both sides are growing and Ive trimmed both sides, but the bad ends are getting worse.. Ive done hot oil treatments to no avail, but there is more new growth on the shorter side than there is on the longer side...

Im about to start using ORS - hair Mayo.. Can any recommend any ideas about getting the other side to grow, stopping the bad ends from reappearing and a good shampoo and hot oil treatment? Im asking a lot I know, but Im desperate. Im trying protective stlying where I use conditioners and oil on my ends only at night, pin it into a bun, and tying it down with a scarf. In the morning my ends look better, but the ends on the longer side look much healthier than the ends on the other side. They still look like they are splitting and about to die.. But when I comb, my hair is not breaking too much..

Please someone help, Ive always been a tomboy, but now due to circumstances, I want to be a girl. A girl with long hair... Assistance please?

organic root stimulator sreum is really great for thinning patches like bald spots. My adult cousin used it when she got into a fight and had a plug of her hair pulled out. it grew back quickly, but her hair also grow pretty fast. I think that your prob;lem is different though b/c you have the entire left side of your hair thinning. Well for me, I changed my beuatician and relaxer (which was too strong). I had a similar problem where the crown of my hair was super short and thin. Now, my hair is growing good, but sometimes it breaks off at the crown which is why I've decided to grow my relaxer out completely.
