I just read that Jimmy Choo's neice, Sandra Choo and a partner will launch a line of Jimmy Choo purses. However the scoop is that the purses will NOT match the shoes. According to the news it is felt that women that buy Jimmy Choos shoes are more advanturous and it is believed that the bags will be more serious and with a special identity.
They are expected to debut from $600 to $900.

Which brings up some questions.....

1. Do you like to carry bags that match your shoes or does it not matter to you?
2. Would you buy a Birkin or Louis Vittan bag that costs thousands of dollars if you had the money to burn?
3. What do you look for in a purse?

Best wishes,
Karen

Hi Karen! I wouldnot care if my shoes match my purse. In fact, I buy a new purse ever so often, but I get them from Fashion Bug, or Wal-Mart, and Payless, ect. I used to worry that my shoes didnot match my purse but I almost drove myself nuts!
In a purse I look for the roominess and if it will last or not! I have not had much luck with Sears purses- the handle usually breaks on me. I just need something to put my junk in & then I am on my way! I hope this comment makes sense! Debbie

Hi Karen,

I am a purse fanatic!!!! I buy purses more than most people change their undies.

No, I don't try ro match with the shoes. I do try to match the season or holiday. I shop for purses that are very individual and original. I do not like to flow with the crowd with purses.

I am currently carrying a purse that I bought in a gift shop at the beach. It has a drawing of a lighthouse and a beach on it (suprise suprise) with a nautical striped handle. Before this one, I was carrying a pink purse with a picture of three little girls under hair dryers and doing there nails. People would stop me just to look closer at my purse.

As far as what I would spend? Right now, I will spend up to $100 for a purse. If I had the money, yes I would spend up to a couple thousand for one. For instance, I would love to have one of the new Loius Vittion's that are white with the rainbowed LV's on it. I love those!!

Great topic Karen!!!

Hi Debbie & Lili,

Debbie...I hear you about having a purse that is roomy. I tend to like the smaller purses and then nothing fits. I can not believe that the celebs show up at the big events with a tiny purse. What does it hold? A cell phone and maybe a lipstick? I am such a pack rat.

And Lili, I love purses so much too. I was just reading Bazaar Magazine for June and on the last page for Bazaar's Best they have some purses that are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Unfortunately they are expensive beyond belief.

There is a Fendi bag that is priced at $14,500. Yes, $14K. I would be afraid to carry it but it is absolutely gorgeous. Also a gorgeou Escada bag that is only $1,160. :-)

Do any of you like the Betty Boop purses? They are everywhere in Dallas right now.

Best wishes,
Karen

Betty Boop is really not my thing. I usually go for the unusual.

Wow, $14,000 for a purse!!!!! Think of what you could by or even pay-off with that kind of money!!

I looked up the website for the purse I just purchased. She has others on there along with tote bags, but mine is not on there. Very fascinating website. Check it out....... SallyHuss.com.
