Cutting and keeping it straight?

Hi, this weekend I'm planning on getting my hair cut pretty short. I have a link to the hair cut below. It's currently about hmm maybe 7 inches past my shoulders, thick and curly/wavy. Once I get it cut I'm going to want to keep it strraight, like in the picture. Any suggestions?
