I've heard people talking about getting a razor cut, and I was just wondering what this is?  And what effect it gives your hair?

It’s called a feathered look, in a nut shell once you get the desired length you finish with a razor comb, it’s called a feather comb in some places it’s leaves the hair looking ………… actually feathery at the end, also gives you that lived-in rough look.
