Hey i was browsing hairaddition.com and saw that they had a
32'' italian straight by wigpro. Has anyone used this hair
before? they said it wont tangle and i really want somethign like
that with the extra long length, will it be worth it the 120$ or will
it tangle up and become knotted? i rather buy this 32'' than an
18'' bohyme since i really want the length , but would it be wise
to get this 32'' hair? thanks a buncg

That's quite the hair.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Yeah, I've used the 32" WigPro, and it's not very good, unfortunately. Mine tangled like a mofo. I searched high and low for over a year good-quality hair that was very long for a decent price, and the longest available are WigPro, Sepia, and some of the HisandHer brands. The only one that is good-quality, imo, is HisandHer cuticle; the others are really subpar.

As far as good-quality hair goes, depending on the color and texture, Bohyme and Extensions-Plus both come in 22 inch, Glamourhair.com remy comes in 24 or 26, and H&H Cuticle comes up to 28. But these are all more expensive than the WigPro.

If you want really long hair (over 24 inches), I would recommend synth instead. :)

i have used the hairpiece hand tied wefts in a blonde/ med brown blend- so far it has held up very well- i have sewed two wefts together and installed them with locs to stay in. i have three rows of doubled wefts. I have worn them for 3 mths now- i tighten them about 1-2 times a mth- the ends seem to slip first.

overall the hair is really nice, not too much tangling only on the ends at the end of the day.

Well, most synth comes in bulk, not on a weft, but there are a few options. There are two types of synth that are suitable for loose extensions: monofiber and thermofiber.

As far as monofiber goes, the brands are PlastikHaar, Dome, Prostyles, and Trimco; of those, the only one I know that is available in wefts is PlastikHaar (a Swiss company) http://plastikhaar.ch/wholesale/index.php, but you do have to special-order it by the meter and it could take a little while to arrive (you have to order 4 weeks ahead of time, and then it takes time to ship--with economy it could be three additional weeks, with priority it would usually be a week or so, and with . The price is great, though (about $23 per meter), you can get any color blend or mix you want, and the hair comes up to 48" long, so you won't have any length issues. For 613, your best bets are Vanille, Satin Blonde, or Platinum Blonde--they're all very similar; the differences in color are quite subtle between them. If your hair is really bleached blonde (platinum), like mine, you might want them to mix a little non-UV Perlweiss in there, too. If you don't need wefts, you can just order the standard bags of PlastikHaar (about $13 a bag), which are almost always in stock in every color; the wait time would be considerably less and would just depend on your shipping option. Dome is also available in 28" and is about $28 a bag; shipping is priority and fairly quick. Three bags of either brand is usually ample for a whole head; with four, you'd have hair to spare.

For thermofiber, American Dream http://ad-hairsolutions.com/new/home.asp (a U.K. company) has 613 in various lengths, but they've been having some issues with their stock lately, so I'm not sure about the exact availability of those lengths and colors at the moment. Unfortunately, you can't order off their website, either; you have to call them. Syren and Metalgirl know a lot about this type of hair and could tell you more about the status with their therm. They are more expensive than PlastikHaar but still an amazing deal compared to human. Beyond that, there's WaWa, another themofiber, which comes on a weft, but is only available up to 20" in wefted; the best source for that is Vixen Wigs on eBay.

There may be a few other options that I'm not thinking of, in which case I'm sure others will chime in. But in general, there are less options when you need the hair to be superlong and also wefted. Still, I think these would be better, more cost-effective options than a cheap-o human-hair brand like WigPro.

What method are you planning to use, and what kind of extensions are you currently wearing?

:)

Oh, I'm currently wearing a PlastikHaar/Dome combo, and I love it. Because I have pinchbraids, I can just order loose; mine didn't come in wefts. And here's a photo. (I much prefer this hair to human, especially to subpar, long, bleached-blonde human hair that costs way too much, gets crappy within weeks, and tangles like crazy.) This is the wavy texture (the PH 50mm and the Dome Classic); this is the second install, done with a lot of layers and razoring:

Here are some (very small) pics of the previous install, which was more of a one-length-type deal (same hair, though):

hey jenny your hair is FABULOUS!!!! if i were to get synth i
would probably go with pinch braids , or glued in wefts if i were
to find wefts in synth. As for the italian straight by wigpro doesnt
it say it wont tangle or something then why did it tangle for
you? are they trying to play games ? LOL as of now im wearing
glued in wefts in hh 18'', there okay but the hair tangles like no
tomorrow lol and ekatherine if i didnt have hair extensions my
hair still wouldnt be that long and thats why i have them lol if i
could just have at least 6 years of growth in one day then
maybe i would just "grow my own"

Well, if you decide to go with the pinchbraids, you can use bulk, so you'll have every synth option imaginable--it's really just a matter of preference in choosing the hair.

As far as why the WigPro tangled, it's just not very good hair. And if it were good-quality, non-tangling hair, they wouldn't be selling it for that price for 32 inches. Beyond that, all long hair tangles. Period. There's no way around it. But with really good-quality hair, you should only have to comb or brush it two or three times a day and it will remain relatively manageable. The worse the hair quality, the more quickly and worse it will tangle--and that tangling will only accellerate over the course of a few months. The problem is, constant brushing will compromise the quality of the extensions hair, the attachments, and most important, your own hair.

The silky-straight did get wavy when wet (most of it does, though). As for why they claim it doesn't tangle, I have no idea. Probably because they're trying to sell a product. :)

Well, it was 32 inches, so it was definitely lower back--very long. But it wasn't thick or strong, or particularly shiny, and it didn't stand up to daily washing and styling well at all. Again, if you want good-quality human hair, I would recommend Bohyme, Extensions-Plus, H&H Cuticle, or Glamourhair Remi--all of them are way better than WigPro. Or, you could opt for synth. :)
