I've had it done, and it is totally worth it, virtually pain free. I had it done in the Dominican Republic because it was cheaper. I paid $600 but that was 2 1/2 years ago, so it is probably more expensive now. Also the doctor is good friends with my Mom, so she was familiar with his work, and told me he was one of the best surgeons there, and he was the one who did work on all the beauty pageon girls. Funny! all that beauty is not natural after all. Anyway I had a little bump, and felt the bone (the upper part of my nose was too wide). He narrowed the bone and filed down the bump, and I couldn't be happier. The best part is that it was so subtle that no one noticed I had anything done. I have to pull out an old picture and show people, and then they notice my nose is different. If it bothers you that much, by all means do it. You will be happy and feel more confident.

I haven't done the surgery, but I've done some research into it. It's really important that you choose a surgeon who does a good job, as rhinoplasty is not a simple operation.

This site has loads of tutorials and before-and-after photos. You can even look at some surgical shots of fixing other doctors' botched nose jobs. It's scary what can go wrong, so make sure you see lots of before-and-after shots from any plastic surgeon you are considering using.

I have been thinking long and hard about getting my nose done for along time, I feel its too long and the hump in the middle makes me feel more guyish since my brother has the same nose as I do.  I was wondering if anyone has had this done, and if so how much did it cost for you?  Also was it worth going through?  Thanks
