Thanx everyone for your advice. It really has helped. But 90% of the time, my hair is straight. Everyone has given me advice about curly hair. And that helps for when my hair si curly, but does anyone know what to do for straight hair? And eatgreenjello, thanx. I'd really like to know what happens at your trip to the salon. My hair sounds just like yours and I hate it like you do. And Susan, thanx for the thing on layers. It's really helpful. Sweetcandicurlz, thanx for the advice. It really helped also. Well, anyways, if you or anyone else has any advice on what to do about straight hair that's big and poofy, please tell me cuz i need all the help with my hair that i can get!! Thanx!

I guess I was subconsciously trying to get you to let it go natural without realizing it!  Sorry about that .

There are lots of up do styles you can wear depending on what length it is.  There's the french twist, buns, braids and any number of styles for all one length hair.  If you prefer it up, I'd try being creative with those and see how it worked for you.
