QuoteReplyTopic: glue not sticking for pony wefts! Posted: May 05 2005 at 9:44am
i've got my Wawa....and i've got this neat clip which has no BIG
handles on it...i've pieced my wefts so i can glue them straight onto
the clip.
and so yesterday, i got out the gorilla glue....and the weft wasn't
even sticking with that....so i got out my superglue (nailglue)....and
it 'kinda' stuck, but not down the whole width of the weft.
any clue what i'm gonna be able to use to stick these mofos to the banana clip and have some security that i won't lose a weft?
i'm thinking i might have to sew the wefts to something fabric...and glue the fabric in addition to 'tying' it onto the clip.
thoughts????
has someone been swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool again?

The problem is the clip. It's plastic, right? Plastic is non-porous, so
most gue won't like to stick to it. Rubber cement might work (since it
sticks to non-porous stuff), or you could just do a DIY bun cover- cut
out a circle of fabric, stitch it together along the edge, and put it
over the clip. Or you can even take a square of fishnet, jab the teeth
of the clip through one side, wrap the fishnet around the back on the
clip and stick it over the teeth on the other side.
