QuoteReplyTopic: Scared of my hair!! Posted: May 17 2005 at 6:29pm
Hi everyone! Okay- here is the deal. I am leaving Friday to
drive to Atlanta to have Heather do my extensions on Saturday.
I am *SO* excited but now I am also nervous. I ordered exactly
what I was told to order: hisandher 50% Italian Mink bodywave
in #22 and #24. The texture feels fine but the color is scaring
me a little. It matches my hair perfect but the idea of having
long hair in that color unnerves me because I have never had it
before. I am really wanting a natural look and I am worried how
this will look. Here is my question (finally): After I get the
extensions in can I, that night, put in some lowlights in a slighty
darker blonde? I thought about dying the #22 but I don't know
how to match my hair to it. I would like to use the #24 as a
highlight color weaved in to it. Am I making any sense or am I
just having stage fright?? Thanks again for all you guys help!
Oh, it just sounds like your nervous. I'm sure it'll be gorgeous.
If you're concerned about the color, I would suggest contacting Heather
ASAP. Who knows? Maybe she has some extra hair in a color that would
work, or can dye them for you. I'm sure she'll be able to make some
good recommendations.
Good luck! :)

Is it cause its light blonde. If thats the case if it looks good short it will look great long.Sounds like your just getting nervous. To be honest The closer it matches your existing color the more natural it will look.
I think I am scared because it is light blonde and all one color.
It is just ALOT of blonde- I think you guys are right. I am getting
nervous. I have had short hair- the color and length of Sharon
Stone's pre extensions) since 1990- definitely time for a
change, I know. Did any of you guys freak out a little before
you firswt got extensions? I am a 34 year old mother of two who
tries to not fall into the complacency of being a suburban
cheerleader mom! Thanks again for all your support. I am
waiting to hear back from Heather as to what she thinks is best.
I will let y'all know!
Sure. It's nerve-wracking the first time, but you're in good hands, and
you've chosen a good method, so I'm sure it'll be fine. Don't forget to
post pics for us, OK? :)

the beauty of pinchbraids is - worst case scenerio - so easy to remove and/or start over...i tell ya, heather has an eye and will not let you walk out of there looking like a fool or anything else negative.
i agree with everybody, it sounds like you have some nerves which is understandable, it's kinda a big change, right? the hilarious thing for me is i went from short brown to waist-length brown with pink, purple, red, and blue...i wore it up for the first few days at work and afterward wore it down. people were like - woo your hair grew fast! lol.
there may be a short adjustment period and getting all the management may take a short learning curve, and if you are really nervous tell heather - she may have some other ideas. But it also sounds like your hair is gonna rock! good luck - pics pics pics!
