Did you ever get a response from that company regarding that inexpensive heat wand?

hey chicks....I just called wimex beauty. They said they were waiting on an answe to the temp. question before responding to my email....so here is what I found out. It is a dual sided heat wand but no temp. control. The brand is wimex. (They have their own name on it) They were not sure of the actual temperature the iron reaches. That is what they were waiting on before replying to me!

Its funny how they try to talk to you sometimes, but they tend to change their tune right away when the figure out that you know what you are talking about!  Right away she tried to tell me that their iron will only work with their brand of pretipped extensions...so I said and why is that? She said cause of the shape of our pretips. I said well thats odd because that iron is identical to the one that I have and it works with ANY pretipped hair. So then she responded ...Oh well maybe it will work with other pretips, Im not sure about that.....LOL Then when I started asking questions she got the idea that I knew what the heck I was talking about!

Really, I think this is the same iron as I purchased, and the same one that Kristin sells and that Ive seen everywhere for much more money. The only drawback is that it doesnt have temp. control. But the one that I have works perfect for shrinkies!

For that price it would be worth one of us buying it and testing it out!

Cheers Sherrie.  Good Job.   I'm going to mention this here because I think it's cooler for these things to be a little hidden,  but does anyone want to get four or five people together to get the discount on  a Prostyles training session in the tri-state (Mi, Oh, In) area?  I'm up near the tip of Michigan, but I'd come down to Detroit or Northern Ohio, or even Chicago for a class.  Any takers?  Chicago would be even better.  Nightlife and whatnot....

THis is the iron i got from them a few months ago- it works GREAT

i would highly reccommend it- i used it with amms shrinkies and they shrunk them so small i didnt even have to roll or anything. I just inserted the hiar, tapped it with the heat a second then held it down for like 12-15 seconds and moved onto the next one.

the hair they are talking about comes in a kit, its not that good, it has a look end on it so u can slide it onto the hair and then shrink it. the whole kits was like $65 which came with the wand, and some hair, a comb and clippies and glue remover in a nice canvas case.

good luck- i HIGHLY reccommend this wand

I think so. I have a braid sealer, which is like a way-cheapo verison of a heat wand, and it gets hot enough to do heat seals.

Oh, and I just got a reply (I emailed them myself a few days ago); they say the maximum heat is 170 celsius, no temperature control, but it is double-sided.
