i have heard that some people use an apple cider vinegar to clarify their hair to prevent build up. how do you use it?? is it as simple as just pouring the mixture on your head, or is there some kind of "washing" or massaging the mixture through your hair??? ive always been baffled by this, any tips will help!!!!
thanks in advance!

you have to dilute it to your oreference. i do a 1 part ACV: 4 parts water. i pout it into an applicator bottle so i can get it on my scalp. i dont massage it cos it runs down my hair anyways. i do it before i use a conditioner wash. you can also have it in a bowl and pout it all over your hair and dunk your ends into the bowl. thanks reene! ive always ben confused when to do this!!! you've cleared up so much- ive always been under the impression from some other forums that you claryify after washing.....[it now sounds stupid now]
if you wash your hair with shampo, yes you can clarify after washing. but its advisable to clarify before conditioning since ACV can be somewhat drying to your hair. just make sure you use a conditioner, even deep conditioner after clarifying
I just started doing this. I heavily, heavily dilute mine because the smell of the vinegar is very strong. I put 3-4 TBL of the ACV and filled the rest of an empty Deer Park Water Bottle of this size with water http://www.angryeye.com/gallery/3D/Deer%20Park%20Bottle.jpg
I think accompanying the rinse with a scalp massage could only help; that's what I did.
