Hello, I'm new here and I found this forum browsing the net about hair.. I've always had my hair fairly short and spikey.. messy spikes.. my hair is very thick and wavy. My little brother used to call it doll hair  anways I have been letting it get long (for me) since I wanted to try something new... but I am stumped on what do to... here are some pics... the pics are with no product and was washed last night with fructis shampoo and then followed by their conditioner..
your hair is pretty thick and wavy..further more, it seems it grows up from your head before down..abit like a plant, so it doesnt really sit flat on your head..
that sorta hair can be problematic when growing..if you just left it to grow, it wouldnt really look good for about another 8 months until its long enough to hold itself down with its own weight and look less poofy..trust me in the mean time, it will look extremely poofy!
u can combat that problem by buying a pair of ceramics and straightening it..with a bit of wax afterwords, it should look alright but trust me..the whole straightening, protecting and not damaging, process is a mission and quite time consuming (been thru it) and TRUST ME, you will have some very bad hair days..
depends how vain u are really, if u cant not stand looking ur best every day of the week (ie if ur someone who has to have a bit of something in your hair before u leave the house) then dont grow it..
with regards to your face shape, uve got a nice structure but rather long..longer hair will only excentuate this..
my advice would be stick with what you've got, it looks pretty dam good highlighted!
