Air Perm???

Morning all!  So, I have super thick, curly, frizzy hair.  It sucks and I have been trying to find ways to fix it without breaking my wallet!!  Well, I went to this salon and they recommended something called an air perm.  I'm going to try it in a couple weeks,  but I guess it's a 2 day process and it's supposed to be a lot more healthier than a regular straight perm or being under a dryer for a couple of hours!! 

When I do try to straighten my hair, it takes about 3 hours and after I get this done, it's only supposed to take about 1/2 an hour!  Because of the length of my hair it's going to be about $150 at the most.  (My hair is almost down to my butt)

Has anyone had this done before and if so, how did you like it?
