My hair is natural and it's been that way for a long time now. I wanted to know if you knew of any  FANTASTIC flat iron that made your hair really, really straight. Do you also know of any heat protectants/straightening serums that are perfect to use before applying the flat iron to your hair? Thank you soooo much! I was thinking about buying the Sedu or Solia and using Beyod the Zone Turn up the Heat. Are any of the products good?  I'd appreciate any reviews and if you have any before and after pictures that would make my day!

I don't know if this is the best iron but I use the Remington wet to straight.  You can use it on wet hair but I don't, it works better on dry hair.  I like it cuz it gets really hot (just don't let it get too hot cuz it will burn your hair) and the plates are ceramic. I use Black and Sassy oil sheen spray before I flat iron and it's the best thing I've used so far, I even got my friend hooked on that stuff.  My hair is natural also and very curly but this iron gets it straight like the pic on my avitar.

The flat irons and products you are considering sound good. Other good ones are Chi, FHI, T3, and Maxiglide.  I have the Sedu but my hair is relaxed so I don't know how good it would work on my natural hair. I think it will probably work really good I'd just have to turn the heat up all the way or really high. Matrix Sleek.Look Iron Smoother, Biosilk Silk Therapy, Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine serum, Elasta qp mango butter, keracare blowdry complex and Tigi Fashionista Smooth and Shine are good. You'd probably have to blow dry your hair straight before using the flat iron to get the best results. Just be sure to be good about conditioning your hair so it doesn't dry out. A conditioner that I want to try is Curls Ecstasy Hair Tea.

I'm not natural- but I have to say that I LOVE the FHI  The straightening power is incredible and it leaves a nice sheen on your hair as well

The reason I bought it was because I heard a natural gal raving about it

Thank you so much!!! These all seem like really good products. I guess they all had good results. There's really no right or wrong answer for choosing really good flat irons. This is a really hard decision. I'll fill you in when I make my decision.
