Having used a razor a few times when I was in cosmetology school I want to say please be careful. Razors can go through hair really easy. Cutting your hair yourself with one does not give you the control you can get using scissors.

I'm not saying don't do it. I'm just saying be careful or use scissors if you can.

You also don't want to cut your fingers.

Hello Lucidity,

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the boards!

I don't have personal experience with razors on my own hair, but I did find a website that might help a little bit:

http://www.ehow.com/how_17113_cut-trim-own.html

Here's another one to read:

http://library.thinkquest.org/C0120888/How%20to%20cut%20your %20hair.htm

Be careful, be sure it's what you want to do, and good luck!
