Hi I'm new to this place and was wondering if someone could help me. I'm in the process of going platium-white and need to know if anyone knows the best product for this adventure. You know the look of Gwen Staffani that's the color I want. I've already gone from almost black to a fairly light blonde and my hair isn't in bad condition at all and want ot go one step further. PLEASE can someone advise me...Thanks so much

What stage is your hair at now?

if you are not pale yellow then you need to apply 7th stage by clairol (get it at sally's) and then tone with a blue based platinum toner (you also get at sally's). if you are pale yellow then  you just need to apply a toner. do not i repeat do not bleach your hair past pale yellow, if you do your hair will be very damaged and will break. good luck.

and god said let there be hair extensions.

The joys of wanting to be that wonderful, fried white blonde.
Fried being the word there. The only way you can pull this off is to have shorter hair,(not like really short, try collar bone or shorter) for it to look hard rock and cool. Going to a proffesional may gurantee this look. However doing it at home will only reep unwanted results. :(
And thankfully and hopefully you do have a sally's and if so, listen to the girls on here, they know thier hair.

:)
Rock on and I hope you can achieve it!

i agree with bambi lee. if fried is the look you are going for, the by all means go for it. im just curious, you mentioned your natural color was almost black. how does the blonde look on you? does it look natural? im thinking that if you do end up white blonde, that it just might be too unnatural looking on you.

my natural color is black aswell bryan and it looks natural on me, most people dont' know that i'm not blonde, unless they knew me before, and everyone knows gwen's white blonde hair does not look natural, that is mostly the point. :)
I hope you can do it camim. :)

Thanks you guys. I'm in between the yellow and pale yellow. But I put a platium with gold-rid and got rid of most of the gold tone and am now a pretty even very light ash blonde.

my natural color is a medium ash brown( I've just always prefered black hair) but my hair has always been half way down my back and now I've cut it to a (boy) cut very short.   NOT DUE TO OVER PROCESSING THOU... just wanted a change of pace....you know...and thought that i'd like to try white. But thanks for all you help.:)

bambi, i agree that gewns hair does not look completely natural, but the undertones that she has in her skin make it work. some people just may not be able to pull off that color hair. and i must say, i would never have guessed that your hair was naturally that dark, until you posted the pic on the haircolor board. you are right, blonde can look very natural on people with dark hair, its just all about finding the right shade. sorry if my earlier post came across as rude, i just dont think thar blonde is right for all people. i personally looked horrible as a blonde.

I think anyone can wear blonde. It just depends on what tones work on you.Like I look best in ash shades. And should avoid goldens like the plague. But I agree white blonde isnt for everyone. But when it does work it can look absolutely stunning. My friend wears her hair white blonde(natural dark blonde) and it looks gorgeous.

Hi,  My hair is bleached to all white and it's not damaged at all, it's in really good condition.  So not everyone that bleaches there hair to "white" will have damaged hair!

What I use is:  Raw White Out,  you can get it at Hot topic!
