Me and one of the network admins were just talking about this yesterday. New people are seniors members before their time. You are right about that. I noticed it too. We're working on a ranking system right now. It's not fair to members who been here for a while. The ones who put in work day in and day out. So I heard you loud and clear. You are right 100%.
You see all the message boards own by HB are on the same system. So, if we change 360 Waves board it would apply to all the boards too. We are still discussing it, but haven't come up with a solution. We need to get with the other boards to see if they feel the same way. You guys are right about newbies moving up in rank too fast. I agree with this and I'm working to change it.

PMP we gotta talk brother. I don't see how this is helping anybody. Why even waste your time doing this. I feel like you just trying to build up your number of post by doing this. Why would you do it on this post? We talking business here. Don't you see this is the very thing that everyone is talking about?

I talked to the owner and the network admin. The ranking system is written into the software. In order to change the ranking system we would have to rewrite this program at a cost $$$$$$$ to HB. The board is a free service to the public and HB does not profit from it. We do this out of love for hair care. HB cares about us enough to offer this board for our use without any profit, therefore we can not rewrite software to make these changes. Please understand I push this idea as far as I could but it cost too much money to change it.
Good news, 360 Waves is still here!

Unfortunately the software that we use for managing the boards...which are a nonprofit center for HairBoutique.com....are somewhat limited in their capabilities.
While we agree that it would nice if we could put a different rating system together and add several features that would make the boards even better...without hiring someone to rewrite the current software...we are limited to what we can do.
We apologize for the inconvenience but please understand that we do the very best that we can do.

This site is FYI (For Your Information) on waves and hair care with a touch of African American cultural education . I wish could I do more for my young brothers. Please try to learn as much as possible.

Pmp we need comments because they are better understood. It's kind of a touchy time right now because of so many newbies are coming in trying to build up their rank by making post that are already floating around out there. I think I speak for all of the members and 360VETS, we all want good post and good comments. This how newbies learn the ropes on this site. If they see ..........., they think it's cool to do this to build up their post.
We have to be good examples.
