I picked "Other" because I like the feeling of "being extreme". Admittedly hip length isn't extreme yet, but mid thigh length will be. Maybe this belongs under "standing out from a crowd".

what I liked most my hair when it was long was not a vanity issue but a security issue. Kinda like the character Linus from the Peanuts cartoon with his blanket. My hair is growing back now and I love the feel of it touching my neck and my back. Note my quote as well!

Having had short hair almost all of my life, my absolute favorite part of having long hair is when the wind is really blowing and my hair is flying all over the place. Of course, getting the tangles out of the hair afterwards is probably my least favorite part of having long hair, but still... It's worth it.
