Thanks for your advice. I'm so confused now. I'm thinking of getting the dark put in with the blonde. But again i'll talk it over with the colourist and see what he says.
When it's done, i'll give you the low down and take a snap!! Hopefully I want be sad!!!
I'm really excited now, change is always good, and if I don't like it it can always go back!!

I say go for lowlights. That way, you can go darker gradually without it being too shocking. I think some darker colors mixed in with the blonde would be awesome.
Really, you are stunning with the blonde. Something tells me that once the blonde is gone, you are going to want it back. And getting it back will be tough on your hair, to say the least.
If you can, fight the urge for a drastic change right now. A subtle change would be better, I think.

It's in very bad condition at the ends and i'm trying to grow it. If I get it blonde its only going to get worse.
And besides, I've had my hair like this for years!! I like a change and since i'm growing it, I can't cut it, so i thought i'd change the colour!
I used to go dark ever year or so, but I haven't been dark in a while. I don't want to go as dark as I usually would bit a different colour definately. It will save me so much money and my roots won't look so bad!!
I go to the hairdressers ever 8-10 weeks!! It's too much money. I love my blonde hair but it looks horrible when my roots come in.
Maybe even more dark tones through it. I love dark hair but cause i've not had it in a while i'm not sure what it will look like with my bright blue eyes??!

Alexis Bledel looked gorgeous with deep brown hair for her Greek
character Lina and her natural bright blue eyes in Sisterhood of the
Traveling Pants... I think blue eyes/dark hair is a winning combo! As is
green and red. THink opposites.

Do you have a picture you can post? It's near impossible to advise you of what colors would look good on you if we can't see what you look like.
Another option - can you schedule a consultation with a colorist (preferably a good one who can tell you what works/doesn't work with your skin tone)? Hey, you can even try on wigs in a darker hair color to see what suits you. It's all about trying before buying, LOL.
